Tour Overview
Duration: 4 Days / 3 Nights
Location: Mount Meru, inside Arusha National Park
Trek Level: Moderate
Maximum Elevation: Socialist Peak (4,566 m)
Mount Meru, standing as Tanzania’s second-highest mountain, is an incredible trekking destination that offers a quieter, more intimate adventure compared to Kilimanjaro. This 4-day journey takes you through lush rainforests, scenic moorlands, and volcanic landscapes, ending with a rewarding climb to the summit at Socialist Peak.
Along the way, trekkers are accompanied by an armed ranger for safety and an expert guide who leads the way through wildlife-rich habitats. Expect encounters with giraffes, antelopes, zebras, and buffaloes during the early stages of the trek. The final ascent to the peak unveils one of the most breathtaking sunrises in Africa with Kilimanjaro glowing on the horizon.
