Tarangire

Arusha – Tarangire National Park

The adventure begins with a morning pick-up from Arusha, followed by a scenic drive into the wilderness of Tarangire. As you enter the park, the landscape quickly transforms into vast savannah plains dotted with ancient baobab trees and seasonal river valleys.

A full game drive introduces you to the park’s famous elephant population, often seen in large family herds moving slowly across the golden grasslands. Lions can sometimes be spotted resting in the shade, while giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and buffaloes roam freely across the ecosystem. Bird lovers also enjoy sightings of colorful species along the Tarangire River.

After a picnic lunch inside the park, the safari continues deeper into the wilderness before heading to your selected lodge or camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Lake Manyara

Tarangire – Lake Manyara

After breakfast, the journey continues toward the lush landscapes of Lake Manyara National Park. This compact yet incredibly diverse park is known for its groundwater forest, alkaline lake, and dramatic Rift Valley escarpment views.

Game drives offer the chance to see the famous tree-climbing lions, often resting on acacia branches, as well as elephants moving quietly through the forest. Along the lake shoreline, large flocks of flamingos create a stunning pink horizon, while hippos can often be seen cooling off in the water.

The afternoon includes exploration of hot springs and dense forest habitats before heading to Karatu for dinner and overnight stay in a relaxing lodge setting.

Departure

Ngorongoro – Lake Manyara – Airport

An early breakfast sets the tone for a final unforgettable safari day as you descend into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of the most remarkable wildlife destinations in Africa, often described as a natural “wildlife Eden.”

Inside the crater, the chances of spotting the Big Five are extremely high, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and the rare black rhino. The crater floor also hosts zebras, hyenas, wildebeests, and abundant birdlife, all coexisting within this ancient volcanic caldera.

A picnic lunch is enjoyed at a scenic spot inside the crater before ascending back to the rim and driving toward Arusha. Depending on your schedule, you will either be dropped off at your hotel or transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for departure.
