The approximately two-hour drive takes you through scenic countryside before entering a landscape dominated by ancient baobab trees, seasonal swamps, and open grasslands.

A full-day game drive allows you to explore the park’s rich ecosystem, where large herds of elephants roam freely and predators such as lions and leopards can often be seen resting beneath acacia trees. You may also encounter giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, impalas, warthogs, and cheetahs, while bird lovers can enjoy sightings of more than 500 bird species.

Upon arrival, enjoy a guided walk to the beautiful Engare Sero waterfalls, where you can swim in cool natural pools surrounded by rocky cliffs. Later, explore the shores of Lake Natron, a striking alkaline lake famous for attracting thousands of lesser flamingos, making it one of East Africa’s most important flamingo breeding grounds.

This region is world-famous for the Great Wildebeest Migration, where massive herds of wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles gather at the riverbanks before making the perilous crossing. Here, enormous Nile crocodiles wait beneath the water while lions and leopards patrol the surrounding grasslands.

The experience of witnessing a river crossing is one of the most sought-after safari moments in Africa and a highlight of any Serengeti migration safari.
