After breakfast, your Mount Kilimanjaro climbing adventure officially begins as you depart Arusha for Lemosho Gate. With packed lunch boxes prepared by Joyful Safaris and Tours, you will start trekking through the enchanting Afromontane rainforest.
This section of the route is rich with towering fig, juniper, and hagenia trees, creating a magical natural environment alive with birdsong and unique forest wildlife. The trek to Forest Camp takes approximately 2.5 to 3.5 hours and offers a gentle introduction to altitude trekking. Summit Day – Uhuru Peak to Mweka Camp

Reaching the summit at sunrise is a life-changing experience, with breathtaking views over glaciers, clouds, and the vast Tanzanian landscape below.
