Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Your safari adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport. After meeting your professional safari guide, you’ll travel southwest toward the spectacular Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s most beautiful and wildlife-rich conservation areas.

Known as the “Land of Giants,” Tarangire is home to some of East Africa’s largest elephant herds, many of which gather along the permanent Tarangire River. Towering baobab trees dominate the landscape, creating one of the most recognizable safari settings in Africa.

As you explore the park, you’ll encounter elephants, giraffes, buffalo, zebras, wildebeest, impalas, waterbucks, warthogs, and countless bird species. Lions and leopards are frequently seen resting beneath shady trees or patrolling the grasslands, while the peaceful scenery offers incredible opportunities for photography.

After enjoying a picnic lunch surrounded by nature, continue your afternoon game drive before arriving at Tarangire Sopa Lodge, beautifully situated inside the park. Relax in your spacious room overlooking the wilderness before enjoying dinner and your first night beneath the African skies.

Serengeti

Full-Day Mara River Migration Safari

Today is dedicated entirely to witnessing one of the world’s greatest natural spectacles—the Great Wildebeest Migration.

Accompanied by your experienced guide, spend the entire day exploring the Mara River ecosystem while following the movement of enormous herds of wildebeest and zebras. Depending on nature’s timing, you may witness the unforgettable moment when thousands of animals courageously plunge into the crocodile-filled waters of the Mara River in search of greener grazing lands.

Because the migration follows natural instincts rather than a schedule, every safari offers a unique experience. Your guide will continually monitor wildlife movements to maximize your chances of witnessing river crossings or dramatic predator interactions.

Even outside migration activity, Northern Serengeti offers exceptional wildlife viewing with elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, buffalo, hyenas, and abundant birdlife found throughout the region.

Enjoy a picnic lunch surrounded by breathtaking wilderness before continuing your afternoon exploration and returning to camp for another relaxing evening under Africa’s spectacular star-filled sky.
