Famous for its ancient baobab trees, vast savannah plains, and large concentration of wildlife, Tarangire offers one of the best game-viewing experiences in the country.As you enter the park, you will immediately notice the stunning landscapes that range from open grasslands and seasonal swamps to river valleys and dense woodlands.

Tarangire is especially renowned for its massive elephant population, and it is common to witness large herds of elephants moving gracefully through the bush, often accompanied by calves. During your game drive, you will also have excellent chances of spotting lions resting under acacia trees, elusive leopards hidden among branches, graceful giraffes browsing treetops, zebras grazing in open plains, buffaloes roaming in groups, and several species of antelopes including impalas, wildebeests, and gazelles.
